Bookmarklets

I just learned about this cool thing called bookmarklets. They are little javascript programs saved as a URI in a bookmark. “Opening” the bookmarklet runs the javascript on the current page.

Here is an example I wrote: Add/remove a colorful cursor trail. You can save this link as a bookmark and then get a colorful cursor trail on any web page.

This morning I saved up and top from Jesse’s Bookmarklets Site and I’m already using them everywhere. These things are quite a convenience.
