Grandma's Banana Walnut Bread



  1. Mix sugar, shortening, and eggs.
  2. Beat by hand until light.
  3. Blend in banana.
  4. Add sifted dry ingredients, beating until smooth.
  5. Stir in walnuts.
  6. Pour into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake at 350 °F for 60 to 70 minutes.
  8. Cool on rack.
